How can I secure my preferred date?

In order to secure a date, time and venue space, Midland Brewing Company requires a signed event contract and paid deposit equivalent to the room fee cost for your event. This deposit will be applied to cover the room fee. We will hold a date for up to 3 days before payment of deposit and signing of contract is required.

What time can I access the facility on the day of the event?

You may access the event space one hour prior to your scheduled event time (unless otherwise agreed upon with the Midland Brewing Company Event Coordinator). Midland Brewing Company requires all equipment, entertainment, decorations and others associated with the event must vacate the premises within 1 hour after the scheduled event time. Additional fees may apply if time is exceeded.

What is the Red Keg Capacity?

Our capacity changes seasonally based on the use of our outdoor and patio seating space. Our minimum capacity for rental of the Red Keg is 25 people. May 1st through October 31st our capacity is 25-120 people with the use of outdoor space, during inclement weather seating may be limited. November 1st through April 30th our venue capacity is 25-80 people. Seating capacity may change based on table layout selected.

May I hire live entertainment for my function?

Yes. Management must approve all forms of hired entertainment.

Can I bring in my own food, alcohol or catering service?

Midland Brewing Company and the Red Keg Barrel House offers full in-house catering and bar service. Outside food, beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and catering services are prohibited, with the exception of cake products produced by a licensed bakery. Please ask your event coordinator for a list of recommended bakeries.

Is it possible to add time to our function, beyond the standard 4 hours?

Yes. When available time can be included. Additional time will be billed at $100 per hour.

Do you offer discounts for non-profit or military organizations?

Yes. Both are entitled to a 10% discount on the room fee for a private event booking.

Question 9

How come you don't carry any domestic beers in bottles or on draft?

There's a couple reasons why. #1 Is that we're proud of the beer that we make! #2 Because we are a microbrewery, licensing doesn't allow us to serve products other than what we make ourselves. #3 We support Independent Craft Beer and not the large beer companies that want to squash out the craft industry. We're coming for you, Big Beer! If you're looking for something for those who enjoy lighter beers, introduce them to our Isle Royale Cream Ale or Copper Harbor Ale.

What kind of private events can I celebrate at the Red Keg Barrel House?

At the Red Keg Barrel House, your possibilities are endless! We have hosted a wide variety of different types of events ranging from birthday parties, retirement parties, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, weddings, and company holiday parties. It also makes a great place for business meetings or luncheons.

Are you able to mail me beer?

We'd love to, but unfortunately it is against the law for us to mail or ship beer straight to our customers. You can check our beer locator map for locating some near you!

How do you get anything done working around beer?

Good question! Believe it or not, brewery employees don't just sit around and drink beer all day... except once we punch out. Here at Midland Brewing Company, safety is our number one priority and being responsible is our secret strategy behind that. We may taste the beer throughout the day, but it's for quality control and educating our crew about new releases and sensory panels.

Start by emailing our events team at events@midlandbrewing.com and they'll reach out if we dig your groove.

When you reach out, please include any pages, videos or song links, that you think might help persuade us to get you on the calendar!

If you don't hear back from us, we ask that you are patient when waiting for a response.

Can I have my birthday party, rehearsal, retirement, or shower dinner at Midland Brewing Company?

While we do our best to accommodate our patrons who are looking to celebrate life's biggest milestones, we sometimes have trouble due to the amount of traffic and events that we host.

Do you allow kids in the restaurant?

Midland Brewing Company is a family-friendly place where patrons of all ages are encouraged to come enjoy what we have to offer. However, if you do choose to bring kid(s), we ask that you accompany them at all times. We especially ask that they are accompanied at all times in the backyard, where you'll find our fireplace and assorted yard games.

The Cottage Creamery, right next door to our facility, has a very kid-friendly backyard and jungle gym that we encourage your kid(s) to venture over there too. Plus, they have ice cream and who doesn't love ice cream?

Do you take reservations?

We take reservations Monday through Thursday for groups of 10 . Friday through Sunday, we do not take reservations at all.

Will you send us labels or stickers?

We don't mail stickers or labels. Stop into the restaurant and ask your server or bartender for some and stop by our booth if you see us at a beer festival! We always have some swag on hand.

Question 20

I'm hosting a party and would like your beer there.

Accepted Answer

We sell 1/6 barrels and 1/2 barrels out of our restaurant. You can call or email us about what's available. We do charge a $30 keg deposit which is refunded upon return of the empty keg.

Do you fill cornie kegs?

Unfortunately, we don't. You can always contact us or stop in to purchase one of our 1/6 barrels; or if it's the party of the century you are throwing, think about a 1/2 barrel!

Question 23

Am I allowed to bring my dog on your patio?

YES! We love having four-legged friends on our patio. We only ask that they are kept on a leash at all times, and if they leave behind any messes we ask that you please clean up after them. Feel free to use our doggy receptacle bin and if they could use some refreshing water, don't hesitate to ask one of our crew members!

Yes! We offer a wide selection of our Railtrail Wines, and our Red Keg Distillery Spirits are a favorite among our visitors. Ask your server or bartender to give you the run down of our available options.
