Built in 2018, the Red Keg Barrel House is a nod to Midland Brewing Company’s signature beer, Red Keg Ale, which is named after the first lumber camp and saloon in Midland County. Red Keg Ale was first brewed in 1935 when Midland Brewing Company originally opened.
This unique space is ready to welcome you and your guests as a premier Midland event venue. When it comes to hospitality, the Red Keg Barrel House has the food and amenities to meet your special needs. Our exceptional food and beverage offerings provide something for everyone, from lighter fare to full buffets. The beverage selection is pulled directly from the specialty selection at Midland Brewing Company, with beer, wine and spirits to fit any palate.
Our gorgeous Midland event venue is about more than just food and drink. The Red Keg takes its name from the expansive back wall of whiskey barrels that age our signature Midland Brewing Company beer and spirits. Wood furnishings enhance the modern yet rustic feel, which includes private access to a spacious, covered outdoor patio overlooking the Midland Brewing Company beer garden, our beautiful grounds and the Pere Marquette Rail Trail.
With the ability to accommodate up to 50 guests, the Red Keg is fast becoming the area’s preferred choice for meetings, rehearsal dinners, special occasions and parties.

Built in 2018, the Red Keg Barrel House pays tribute to Midland Brewing Company’s signature Red Keg Ale—named after the first lumber camp and saloon in Midland County. Originally brewed in 1935 when Midland Brewing Co. first opened, Red Keg Ale reflects the area’s deep lumber and brewing heritage, giving your event a setting with authentic local character.

Located on Dublin Street on the Midland Brewing Company campus, the Red Keg Barrel House sits near the three-mile marker of the Pere Marquette Rail Trail and close to Averill, where the historic Red Keg Lumber Camp once stood along the Tittabawassee River. The central location makes it easy for guests to arrive while offering a uniquely Midland atmosphere.
Flexible Facilities & Event Capacity
The Red Keg Barrel House is a handicap-accessible, 2,500-square-foot private event venue designed for everything from rehearsal dinners to corporate meetings. The indoor space comfortably hosts up to 50 guests, with a covered outdoor patio expanding warm-weather capacity to 75. Select specialty events can also incorporate our lawn, outdoor kitchen, and beer garden for larger or more unique gatherings.

Separate from the main brewery, the Red Keg Barrel House offers a dedicated venue experience with its own parking lot directly in front of the building. Features include private restrooms, advanced AV capabilities, dedicated Wi-Fi, and flexible table seating for groups of 4–6. Large patio doors can be opened on beautiful Michigan days to seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor spaces.
